Matteo Gabbia sustained an injury in training earlier today and will miss the Napoli clash on Tuesday. However, according to a report, he could also be out for the important game against Real Madrid.

Gabbia has been one of the most important players for Milan at the start of this season, playing very well at the back and also scoring the winner against Inter. As such, with Theo Hernandez and Tijjani Reijnders already out due to suspension, the injury news earlier today came at a bad time.

According to Luca Bianchin, Gabbia is still struggling with the calf injury that kept him out for the game against Udinese. He will certainly miss the games against Napoli as well as Monza, and he’s very likely to miss the Real Madrid encounter as well.

After grabbing their first win in the Champions League against Club Brugge, the goal is to try to snatch a point or maybe even all three at Stadio Bernabeu. Real Madrid lost the El Clasico against Barcelona by four goals to nil and are certainly struggling, but even so it will be difficult for the Rossoneri.

Fonseca will have to rely on Fikayo Tomori, Malick Thiaw and Strahinja Pavlovic in the heart of the defence instead.
