Florian Plettenberg reports that Besiktas have entered the race to sign RB Leipzig target Noah Okafor (25). The Turkish club have submitted a concrete offer to the Swiss international, who won the Serie A having spent the last six months on loan at Napoli from Milan.

Okafor is yet to make a decision on his future but, per Plettenberg, Werder Bremen are also showing an interest in the 25-year-old attacker. In January, Okafor was close to joining RB Leipzig but a move collapsed following the player’s medical because of a calf injury, although the Saxony club retain interest in signing the former Basel and RB Salzburg winger.

As reported last week, RB Leipzig will make another push to sign Okafor this summer with the player deemed surplus to requirements at Milan. This comes after the Swiss player joined the Rossoneri from RB Salzburg in 2023. During his time at Milan, Okafor has scored seven goals and provided five assists across 53 games in all competitions.
