After a narrow 2-1 win in Glasgow last week, Bayern Munich will be determined to finish the job and secure a place in the last 16 of the Champions League when they welcome Celtic to the Allianz Arena on Tuesday.

The Bavarians were forced to defend for the majority of Saturday's 0-0 draw with Bayer Leverkusen, which left them eight points clear of the champions at the top of the Bundesliga.

Tuesday's game should be very different, with Vincent Kompany's men expected to dominate on home soil.

Celtic, meanwhile, will be looking to cause an upset in Germany after a comfortable 3-0 home win over Dundee United, which should give the Scottish Premiership leaders confidence.

In terms of personnel, Joao Palhinha is expected to return to the Bayern squad after recovering from illness, but the game might come too soon for Alphonso Davies and Daniel Peretz.

Bayern coach Vincent Kompany could make a handful of changes to the side that drew with Bayer Leverkusen.

Raphael Guerreiro, who offers a more attacking interpretation of the left-back role, could start at the expense of Hiroki Ito, while Josip Stanisic could get the nod ahead of Konrad Laimer at right-back.

Leon Goretzka could start in place of Aleksandar Pavlovic alongside Joshua Kimmich in midfield, while Leroy Sané could come in at the expense of Kingsley Coman on the left wing.

Celtic have two players unavailable, with James Forrest and Paulo Bernardo still sidelined.
