In three days, Real Madrid will lock horns with Bayern Munich in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-final tie away at the Allianz Arena.

Leading up to the blockbuster encounter, Real Madrid have been greeted by good news on the fitness front as Rodrygo and Ferland Mendy have recovered from their ailments and are ready for the game.

On the other hand, Bayern Munich have been handed a key fitness concern leading up to the game.

Jamal Musiala a doubt?

Indeed, ahead of their ongoing Bundesliga match against Eintracht Frankfurt, Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel left key man Jamal Musiala out of the squad altogether, raising eyebrows.

Prior to kickoff, the German manager confirmed that the young sensation’s absence was due to a fitness concern, saying (h/t iMiaSanMia):

“He can’t play. He wanted to, we really wanted him to. He had two days without pain and felt it again yesterday.

“It’s a tendon irritation that is really hindering him. He had to stop training yesterday, now we’re giving it our all for Tuesday.”

As such, Musiala’s involvement against Real Madrid might be under a cloud of uncertainty at this point.

Meanwhile, Tuchel already confirmed earlier this week that Leroy Sane is also facing a race against time to be ready for the UCL match, although Serge Gnabry is expected to be ready.

It remains to be seen who among the three make it to the game against Real Madrid at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday.

If Musiala does not recover, it will be a huge blow for Bayern Munich, given how crucial the young attacking midfielder is for the team’s fortunes.
