Bayern Munich invite Premier League offers for midfielder | OneFootball

Bayern Munich want to sell Joao Palhinha to the Premier League and are prepared to accept a loss on the midfielder.

Palhinha joined Bayern Munich from Fulham in a £42.3m deal last summer but struggled for regular first-team football in Germany. The 29-year-old started just six league games for Bayern in 2024/25 as he failed to win favour under new head coach Vincent Kompany.

The German champions are keen to offload Palhinha to raise transfer funds and see the Premier League as an ideal destination.

Palhinha impressed during his previous spell in England, leading the Premier League for tackles in 2022/23 and 2023/24.

Fulham have been linked with a bold move to bring the Portugal international back to West London, while West Ham and Manchester United have also been named as potential destinations. West Ham had a bid for the player rejected in 2023, while Palhinha played under Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim at Sporting Lisbon.

Despite Bayern’s willingness to do business at around €30m-35m (£25.6m-29.9m), formal interest is yet to surface. German outlet BILD have revealed that Palhinha remains determined to succeed in Munich.

“There are also no developments regarding João Palhinha,” BILD journalist Christian Falk told CaughtOffside.

“The player is still keen to establish himself at FC Bayern and is currently not interested in returning to Fulham.”
