Luis Diaz of Liverpool remains a man in demand in the transfer market as both FC Barcelona and Bayern Munich are keen on his signing.

The 28-year-old Colombian international is the Catalans’ top priority to strengthen the left flank. However, Bayern Munich are making things difficult for the La Liga champions as they have ramped up efforts for the winger’s acquisition.

As reported earlier this week, the Bundesliga title-holders are preparing an offer worth €60 million plus €20 million in bonuses to tempt Liverpool into selling Diaz.

Fresh talks held with Diaz’s camp

Now, according to journalist Florian Plettenberg, Bayern Munich director Max Eberl has held fresh talks with Luis Diaz’s entourage in recent days.

The Bavarian giants remain very keen on the 28-year-old attacker, although there have been no offers and agreements reached as of yet.

Diaz, for his part, has made it clear to Liverpool that he would be open to leaving the club if an enticing offer comes across.

However, the Premier League champions have thus far blocked everything as they insist on retaining the Colombian attacker beyond this summer.

Bayern, however, are refusing to give up, more so after the injury setback suffered by Jamal Musiala at the FIFA Club World Cup.

Barcelona are also very much in the hunt, although they are unwilling to spend big on the former FC Porto star.

Much will depend on Diaz’s preference and whether he is willing to wait for the Catalans to resolve their Fair Play problems or accept a move without registration guarantees.
