Swansea City still have Barnsley star Adam Phillips high on their transfer wish list in the final stretch of the window, according to Darren Witcoop.
Swans boss Luke Williams has a midfielder on his agenda and Swansea are working to get their desired candidate in before the window closes.
The Wales outfit recently parted ways with their captain, Matt Grimes, who left them to join Coventry City.
With Grimes’ departure, Swansea are left light in the midfield department and have been linked with several players.
League One outfit Barnsley’s Phillips is one of the players that they have a long-standing interest in.
And it has been claimed that Barnsley midfielder Phillips still remains high on Swansea’s list of candidates to reinforce their midfield.
Phillips, who joined Barnsley from Burnley in 2022, is having an incredible season with seven goals and four assists in 21 league games.
The 27-year-old is a key player for the Oakwell outfit and it remains to be seen whether promotion hopefuls Barnsley will part ways with Phillips in the ongoing window.
