Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund meet tonight in the Champions League quarter-finals.
The Spanish side will start as favourites, having been billed as favourites heading into the last eight. Hansi Flick’s side are pursuing treble success, with a Copa del Rey final against Real Madrid to come later this month. Barcelona are also four points ahead of their rivals in the La Liga title race.
The Catalans will be without Dani Olmo for tonight’s clash due to a muscular injury. Olmo joins Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Marc Casado and Marc Bernal as absent, with the latter trio all suffering season-ending injuries.
Dortmund arrive this evening amid a difficult domestic campaign. Niko Kovac’s team are eighth in the Bundesliga after a season that has fallen below all expectations. However, back-to-back wins have increased confidence in a Dortmund side that reached last season’s final.
The Germans have suffered an injury blow ahead of the clash with Nico Schlotterback’s season over due to a meniscus injury. Austrian midfielder Marcel Sabitzer is also ruled out.

Despite a draw with in-form Real Betis at the weekend, Barcelona remain in control of the La Liga title race. The Catalans boast a four-point advantage over Real Madrid and also face Los Blancos in the Copa del Rey final later this month.
Barcelona are unbeaten in 22 games across all competitions, winning 18, with their last loss coming against Atletico Madrid in December. Following a downturn in form during the winter, Hansi Flick’s side have rediscovered their finest form to emerge as Champions League favourites.
Raphinha’s incredible campaign continues to go from strength to strength and the Braizlian is the leading scorer in this competition with 11 goals. Robert Lewandowski is also out to haunt his former side again, having netted 27 times in 27 games against Dortmund since leaving the Westfalenstadion in 2013.

It’s been a challenging campaign for Dortmund who currently reside in eighth place in the Bundesliga. Nuri Sahin’s reign was short-lived with Niko Kovac taking the reins in February.
However, back-to-back league wins have lifted the mood. Dortmund have beaten Champions League hopefuls Mainz and Freiburg in successive games, scoring seven goals in the process.
Serhou Guirassy will be the man to watch for Barcelona this evening. The summer signing has 25 goals in 37 games this season, including 10 in the Champions League.

Ferran Torres came off the bench to score twice and give Barcelona a 3-2 win over Borussia Dortmund in the league phase earlier this season. An entertaining encounter saw five second-half goals scored, with Dortmund twice fighting back to level before Torres’ second of the game provided decisive.
Raphinha fired Barcelona in front on 53 minutes, but Dortmund equalised on the hour through Serhou Guirassy’s penalty. Torres came off the bench to tap in a second for the Spaniards, though the lead was again short-lived as Guirassy equalised again with a simple finish.
With four minutes to go, Barcelona found a winner. Torres fired a low finish into the bottom corner as the Catalans claimed the points.
