La Liga giants Barcelona have on Friday been linked with a move for a member of the midfield ranks at French champions Paris Saint-Germain.

The player in question? Danilo Pereira.

As per a report from L’Équipe, the brass at PSG are actively seeking out a new club for the experience Danilo, ahead of the fast-approaching transfer deadline.

In fact, so eager are the capital club to be rid of the Portuguese, that they have opened to the prospect of a loan exit.

And as much, it is understood, could prove a tempting option for those behind the scenes at the aforementioned Barcelona.

The Blaugrana have been tipped as a potential landing spot for Danilo on more than one occasion this summer, with the recent injury suffered by Marc Bernal, as well as the 32-year-old’s ability to play in defence, making him a desirable short-term stopgap.

Portuguese giants Porto are also in the running, albeit with L’Équipe noting that Danilo’s hefty wages could mark an obstacle towards any transfer.
