Alongside Barcelona, Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain are monitoring Garcia closely, making it a highly competitive battle for the talented shot-stopper.

Impressing with his performances

Garcia’s performances this season have been instrumental for Espanyol, earning him recognition as one of the most exciting young goalkeepers in Spain.

Despite being under contract with Espanyol until 2028, speculation about his potential departure has been growing.

Barcelona see him as an ideal long-term successor to Marc-Andre ter Stegen, and the club’s management has already initiated contact with Espanyol to assess the feasibility of a deal.

However, with multiple top clubs interested, securing his services will be far from straightforward.

Threat of Arsenal and PSG

Arsenal appear to be the most determined of the suitors. Mikel Arteta is keen to strengthen the goalkeeping department, with David Raya currently holding the starting spot.

The London club believe Garcia would provide much-needed depth and competition, and there is confidence that Espanyol could be tempted by a significant offer.

With financial resources at their disposal, Arsenal hold an advantage in negotiations, making them a strong contender in this race.

Meanwhile, PSG have also entered the fray. The French champions are in search of a goalkeeper to challenge Gianluigi Donnarumma for the starting role, and Garcia has emerged as a serious option.

The Parisian club are prepared to compete financially with their rivals, adding further pressure to Barcelona’s pursuit.

With three elite clubs vying for Garcia, Espanyol could find themselves in a position to demand a lucrative transfer fee.

As the summer window approaches, the situation is expected to escalate, making his departure from Espanyol increasingly likely.
