Barcelona star undergoes specialised injury treatment ahead of Real Madrid | OneFootball

Barcelona star Marc Casadó was put through a specialised rehabilitation session at the club’s training ground on Thursday.

That’s according to Blaugrana insider Javier Miguel, who has provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.

Casadó, for his part, of course played a starring role last night, as Barcelona played host to Bayern Munich in a Champions League clash.

And the 21-year-old, like the rest of his teammates, went on to enjoy an evening to remember.

En route to an eventual 4-1 triumph, Casadó announced himself onto the world stage, courtesy of a superb showing at the base of boss Hansi Flick’s midfield.

Late in the action at Montjuïc, though, the Spaniard was dealt a blow.

Owing to a heavy challenge on the part of Leon Goretzka, Casadó was left grounded and in evident discomfort, clutching his knee.

And as much culminated in the young midfielder being afforded extra attention on the part of the Barcelona medical team earlier today.

As per a report from the aforementioned Javier Miguel of Diario AS, with a view to this weekend’s showdown with Real Madrid:

‘This Thursday Casadó had a cryotherapy session to recover and tone his metabolism.’
