A leading member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has revealed his opinion that teammate Lamine Yamal is already the best in his role in world football.
Wide-man Lamine, for his part, is of course in the midst of nothing short of a superb start to the new campaign.
Across starts in Barcelona’s eight fixtures across all competitions, the 17-year-old has directly contributed to nine goals.
Eight such contributions have come in seven La Liga appearances, across which Lamine has wreaked havoc on opposing backlines from his berth on the right flank.
Despite his tender years, the Barca youth product is quickly making a name for himself as not only one of world football’s best youngsters, but best players full stop.
Speaking during an interview with Bleacher Report on Thursday, one of Lamine’s teammates, in turn, was asked for his take on the chatter surrounding the youngster’s explosion onto the world stage.
Specifically, Robert Lewandowski was asked if envisions Lamine developing into the single best player in the game down the line.
And the Pole’s response proved a fascinating one, featuring extensive advice to his young teammate, as well as the opinion that:
”I see him as the best winger in the world.”
