Barcelona star stands firm on his future after opening day disappointment | OneFootball

A member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has reiterated to the club once more that he has no intention of departing this summer.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Marc Casadó as the player in question.

The subject of youngster Casadó’s future has returned to the forefront of the chatter surrounding Barcelona over the last couple of days.

This comes after the 21-year-old was forced to endure an altogether disappointing outing in the Blaugrana’s season opener.

En route to a 3-0 victory over Mallorca, Casadó was left on the bench for the entirety of the 90 minutes.

With as much having come with Marc Bernal not even cleared for competitive action as of yet, Casadó’s situation all of a sudden looks something of a concerning one when it comes to securing game time in Hansi Flick’s midfield.

As alluded to above, though, as much has not at all influenced the plans of the player himself.

As per a report from Sport, despite widespread interest in his signature, Casadó’s sole intention is to stay put in Catalunya’s capital, to fight for his place over the season ahead.

This is a message which the Spanish international has reiterated to those in a position of power at the Camp Nou once more over recent days.
