La Liga giants Barcelona have on Monday been afforded some altogether positive news on the personnel front.
This comes amid confirmation that Iñigo Martínez has returned to training alongside the rest of Hansi Flick’s squad.
Defender Iñigo was for his part forced to sit out over the weekend, as Barcelona welcomed Real Betis to Catalunya’s capital for a La Liga clash.
As per an official statement on the part of the Blaugrana themselves, as much came owing to ‘a minor gluteal injury in his left leg’.
Just days out from Barca’s Champions League quarter-final first-leg showdown with Borussia Dortmund, the Catalans therefore saw the status of a leading member of the club’s backline thrown up in the air.
As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from the media on Monday is anything to go by, then Hansi Flick and co. need not fret.
As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:
‘Iñigo Martínez trained this Monday with the rest of his teammates and everything indicates that he will be available to play this Wednesday against Borussia Dortmund.’
