Barcelona star names Man City midfielder as player he would sign for the club | OneFootball

Barcelona star Eric García has named Manchester City midfielder Rodri as the player whom he would sign for the club, if afforded the opportunity.

Rodri, for his part, is of course widely considered to be one of the standout engine room performers in world football.

An integral cog in the midfield setup of fellow countryman Pep Guardiola at Man City, the 28-year-old also stood as one of Spain’s leading figures en route to clinching glory at the European Championships this past summer.

Rodri possesses all of the required traits of a world-class deep-lying midfielder, from passing both long and short range, to vision, tackling, and even the occasional goal.

Safe to say, then, that any club in world football would no doubt be overjoyed to have the former Villarreal standout amongst their ranks.

And one individual, as alluded to above, who would love nothing more than to see Rodri lining out in the colours of Barcelona, is compatriot Eric García.

Speaking during an exchange with the media on Tuesday, defender Eric was asked to choose ‘one signing you would make for Barcelona’.

And the 23-year-old, himself formerly of Manchester City, went on to reply:
