According to reports from Mundo Deportivo, it has come to light that Barcelona are keeping a close eye on Atalanta winger Ademola Lookman as they evaluate their options for the summer transfer window.
The Nigerian forward is eager to leave his current club, and joining the Catalan giants would be his ultimate dream.
Despite this, though, it must be noted that Lookman is not among the club’s top priorities, with other targets, such as Luis Diaz and Rafael Leao ahead of him in their recruitment plans.
Lookman, 27, has established himself as one of the most exciting wingers in European football.
While he is not Barcelona’s first-choice option, his attacking versatility and ability to operate from the left wing while drifting centrally make him an interesting prospect.
The Blaugrana management acknowledges his talent but has yet to make a concrete move for his services.

Lookman has one year remaining on his contract with Atalanta, and sources suggest he could be available for around €30 million.
His desire to leave has only intensified following a disagreement with manager Gian Piero Gasperini during the Champions League knockout stages.
The incident occurred when he took a penalty against the coach’s instructions and failed to convert it, leading to criticism and increasing tensions between the player and manager.
As a result, the Nigerian international has set his sights on a move away from the Serie A side. Paris Saint-Germain are also keeping tabs on his situation, adding further competition for Barcelona if they decide to make a move.
However, despite his availability and quality, Lookman remains a secondary option for the Catalan club, who are focused on other priorities for now.
Whether they will pursue him later in the transfer window depends on how their primary targets develop in the coming months.
