Barcelona fans have had quiet the week so far, especially after the contract renewals of Hansi Flick and Raphinha.

However, the week could get even better as the club are reportedly closing in on the renewal of yet another star forward in the form of Lamine Yamal.

As per Victor Navarro, Barcelona have everything in place to renew the contract of Lamine Yamal, who turns 18 in the coming summer.

The ink, therefore, is drying and all that remains is for Yamal to pen the final signature so that Barcelona can confirm the deal.

As mentioned earlier, Barça are ready to offer Yamal a lucrative contract despite his young age. In fact, the new deal could make him the third-highest earner at the club, behind only Frenkie de Jong and Robert Lewandowski.

This is quite the promotion for a 17-year-old, but Barcelona management believes the teenage youth prospect of worthy of such investment.

Yamal’s renewal could go a long way in helping Barcelona seal the core of their attacking unit in the years to come, especially with the club also confirming the renewal of his offensive partner, Raphinha.

The Brazilian, for his part, has enjoyed an equally brilliant turnaround story and the collective contributions from these two attackers could be integral to Barcelona’s success in the years to come.
