Despite having won all the big titles in Spain last season, several changes are expected to take place in this FC Barcelona team. The Blaugranes are looking to further strengthen their team to continue competing for all the big trophies, and in this regard, they have already finalized the signing of the goalkeeper Joan Garcia.

As things stand, they have also reached a personal agreement with the Athletic Club forward Nico Williams, but they are currently negotiating with Athletic Club, and they might still have to do quite a lot of work to complete this operation.

However, to register these new players, the Catalans will have to bid farewell to some of their current players. In fact, Barcelona have already been working to ensure some departures, and Ansu Fati is one of the players whose exit operation has been underway for some weeks now.

Negotiations stalled for Ansu Fati

The Blaugranes are in negotiations with the Ligue 1 side AS Monaco for the winger’s departure, who might leave permanently with a buyback option or on loan. For these last few days, these negotiations have been reported to be quite advanced.

However, Mundo Deportivo reports that these negotiations have stalled for now, mainly because of the inflexible position that Monaco have taken. The principality club is very clear about the percentage of Fati’s salary it wants to take on, and are in no mood to give away any space to the Catalans in this regard.

Monaco not looking to concede ground

Monaco are quite confident that their forward positions are quite well covered, and they are pressing Barcelona to complete the transfer as soon as possible. Even though Fati, along with Paul Pogba, was expected to be their star signings this summer, they are not too desperate to complete this move.

It remains to be seen how these negotiations between the two sides will develop in the coming days, but for now, Monaco’s position seems to be quite immovable.
