UEFA shrugged off the constant complaints from Barcelona about referee Szymon Marciniak after their 4-3 Champions League defeat to Inter, insisting there was ‘no problem’ with his decisions.
The Blaugrana were leading the tie for just five minutes out of over 210 played over the two legs, but their focus after the semi-final has been entirely aimed at the officiating.

With this in mind, Spanish newspaper Marca approached UEFA representatives to ask if there was going to be any action taken, or even any slight concerns, about Marciniak and his choices at San Siro.
The response from UEFA left no room for doubts: “There is no problem.”

The moments they seem to be focusing on include wanting a penalty for the Francesco Acerbi handball, even though he visibly kicked it onto his own arm during a clean block while sliding, which is rarely if ever given as intentional.
They even protested that the penalty awarded for the Pau Cubarsi sliding tackle on Lautaro Martinez should not have been given, despite the fact VAR replays showed he never touched the ball, only catching the foot.
Barcelona are arguing Denzel Dumfries fouled Gerard Martin in the build-up to the Francesco Acerbi equaliser for 3-3.
The footage shows that Gerard Martin had a heavy first touch and stumbled, allowing Dumfries to get in front of him to shield the ball, so if anything the Barcelona defender kicked the Inter player.
