Barça fight back to beat Celta in seven-goal thriller

Raphinha slotted home a penalty in the eighth minute of stoppage time as Barcelona pulled off a stunning comeback to edge Celta Vigo 4-3.

It looked like a shock defeat was on the cards for the league leaders, especially after Borja Iglesias bagged a hat-trick to turn things around following Ferran Torres’ early opener – putting Celta 3-1 up by the 62nd minute.

But Barça weren’t done. They rallied and hit back with two quick goals from Dani Olmo and Raphinha to level things up, piling on the pressure late on.

Celta looked like they might just hang on for a draw, but then Olmo was brought down in the box. VAR had a look, the ref pointed to the spot, and Raphinha made no mistake.

The result sees Barcelona go seven points clear at the top, at least for now, with Real Madrid set to play Athletic Club on Sunday.
