According to El Chiringuito TV, Rodrygo Goes is facing an uncertain future at Real Madrid, and inter-city rivals Atletico Madrid are starting to take note.

The Brazilian forward, despite being tied to a long-term contract until 2028, is not guaranteed to stay at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The key to his continuity now rests on an imminent conversation with new head coach Xabi Alonso, a meeting that could determine whether Rodrygo remains part of the club’s long-term project or becomes one of the biggest names on the summer transfer market.

Although sources close to the 24-year-old insist he has no desire to leave the Spanish capital, it is believed Rodrygo wants assurances about his role under Alonso before making any commitment.

With Kylian Mbappe at the club and the continued presence of Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Jr., there are growing concerns that Rodrygo might struggle for consistent starts next season.

Should Rodrygo opt for a departure, Real Madrid would reportedly not stand in his way, provided their valuation is met.

Los Blancos are expected to demand a fee in the region of €100 million, a sum they could then reinvest in another marquee addition to bolster the squad ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

While Premier League clubs have long been rumoured as the most likely destination, El Chiringuito reports that Atletico Madrid are now closely monitoring the situation.

That said, a switch across the Spanish capital remains highly improbable. The idea of selling a marquee player like Rodrygo to their fiercest city rivals is not one Real Madrid are likely to entertain, even if a substantial offer were to be tabled.

This is because the political and competitive implications of such a move would be enormous.
