Ex-PSV and Anderlecht striker Fábio Silva is currently enjoying a remarkable loan spell with LaLiga outfit Las Palmas. The 22-year-old has netted six goals in 16 LaLiga games, which includes strikes against Real Madrid and Barcelona. Silva’s fantastic form has reportedly attracted interest from Atlético Madrid. Marca claim that the Spanish giants are monitoring Silva’s progress, with manager Diego Simeone being a huge fan of the forward.
Fábio Silva started his career at FC Porto before making a €40m move to Premier League side Wolves in 2020. Wolves still own the striker, but have loaned him out four times. First to Anderlecht, where he scored 11 times and provided four assists in 32 appearances. A season at PSV followed, with five goals scored in 19 games. He spent last season on loan with Rangers, where he featured 25 times, before joining his current club Las Palmas.
Wolves are reportedly very happy with Fábio Silva‘s progress at Las Palmas and do not want to sell him or recall him. A move to Atlético Madrid this month seems unlikely, although he could be an option for Simeone‘s side in the summer.
