The powers that be at Atlético Madrid have come to the decision to cancel a planned performance at half-time in the upcoming Madrid Derby.
That’s according to Relevo, who have on Friday provided an insight into the situation.
The understanding is that, in the buildup to Sunday’s first Madrid Derby of the campaign, the Wanda Metropolitano brass had organised for musicians Abraham Mateo and Danna Paola to perform their new song, ‘El Doble’.
Such plans, however, were over the last 24 hours scrapped.
This comes owing to an appearance on the part of Paola on ‘La Revuelta’, on La 1 of Televisión Española.
During as much, Mexican singer Paola made clear that her allegiance lies with Real Madrid heading into the weekend’s latest round of La Liga fixtures.
Not only that, but she went as far as to provide a score prediction for the Derby, backing Carlo Ancelotti’s visitors to emerge 2-1 victors owing to goals on the part of Vinícius Jr, and Federico Valverde.
And as much, it would appear, proved enough to convince the board at Atlético Madrid that Paola should no longer be permitted to perform at the club’s ground.
In turn, as per Relevo:
‘The club has cancelled the performance and it will not take place as planned.’
