Athletic Club star Nico Williams set for several weeks on the sidelines with hamstring injury | OneFootball

The last few weeks have been mixed for Athletic Club, as they have only won in La Liga once since the start of the year and are starting to lose a bit of ground on the top 3.

Things could possibly be going from bad to worse now as their crucial star Nico Williams has suffered a hamstring injury.

Despite no official medical report from the club, Relevo are reporting that William’s injury could keep him out for a matter of weeks, potentially towards the end of the month.

Bilbao are reportedly taking a cautious stance to Nico’s injury, as they are unwilling to aggravate it and be left without their star for a longer period.

Luckily for Athletic Club, the rest of February is fairly quiet with only three more fixtures, but they will be wanting their star player back in time for their Europa League last 16 tie in March.

Nico Williams has struggled to capture his best form so far this season, not looking quite the same player who won Euro 2024 with Spain last summer.
