Manchester United were the latest team to enter the race to sign Atalanta’s midfielder Ederson, whose brilliant displays at the Gewiss Stadium have been drawing attention from several Premier League clubs.

The Brazilian has been one of La Dea’s best-performing players since last season, when he netted six Serie A goals from 36 matches and proved extremely reliable by racking up an overall 53 appearances across all competitions.

His rare mix of defensive and attacking skills is what makes him irreplaceable to Gian Piero Gasperini’s side, as he combines excellent positioning and physicality with well-timed offensive runs and good finishing.

Atalanta’s Ederson could ignite Premier League bidding war in January

According to Team Talks, Manchester United joined the list of the midfielder’s suitors but will face stiff competition from Manchester City and Liverpool, who are also reportedly very keen on signing the player.

However, while Ederson seems excited at the prospect of moving to the Premier League, Atalanta would demand at least €60m to sell him during the winter transfer window, with the figure likely to get even higher with more teams set to battle it out to secure his services.

La Dea hope to discourage the 25-year-old’s admirers with their high requests, as it’d be extremely complicated to find a replacement in January, as losing such a key piece could jeopardise their chances of keeping up their Scudetto challenge.

Ederson has two goals and one assist from 18 games throughout all competitions this season.
