Atalanta, Sporting CP & Stuttgart Stars Top Inter Milan Shortlist If Hakan Calhanoglu Leaves | OneFootball

Ederson, Morten Hjulmand, and Angelo Stiller have risen to the top of Inter Milan’s list of potential replacements for Hakan Calhanoglu.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.

Inter Milan are bracing for the potential exit of midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu this summer.

Reportedly, big clubs in the Saudi Pro League are eyeing up a move for the Turkish international.

Meanwhile, yesterday reports emerged from Turkey that Istanbul giants Galatasaray have made Calhanoglu a major target.

According to the Gazzetta, Galatasary have not yet made Inter any offers for Calhanoglu. However, they have made contact with the former AC Milan midfielder’s entourage to sound out a move.

Inter Milan would expect a fee of over €30 million to sell Calhanoglu. However, reports the Gazzetta, a bid of €25 million would certainly give them something to consider, given the player’s age.

If Inter do sell Hakan Calhanoglu they will have to find a replacement.

And there have been a few names linked in this respect.

According to Tuttosport, Inter are not particularly convinced by Nicolo Rovella or Samuele Ricci as direct replacements for Calhanoglu.

Meanwhile, the Nerazzurri have also been linked with Parma’s Adrian Bernabe. However, the Gazzetta notes, Cristian Chivu tended to use Bernabe in more of a box-to-box role, with Mandela Keita playing at the base of midfield.

Therefore, Tuttosport reports, the targets rising to the top of Inter’s shortlist are altogether different players.

One player who would certainly have the Serie A experience and quality would be Atlanta midfielder Ederson.

Ederson joined La Dea in the summer of 2022 from Salernitana. And he has virtually improved season upon season.

According to Tuttosport, Atalanta would want a fee of €40 million for the Brazilian.

Meanwhile, that is also roughly the same fee that Sporting CP would demand for Morten Hjulmand.

Hjulmand knows Serie A well from his time at Lecce. And he is another player Inter would see as an ideal replacement for Hakan Calhanoglu.

Lastly, reports Tuttosport, Inter are also eyeing up Stuttgart midfielder Angelo Stiller should Calhanoglu depart.

However, signing the German would not be easy. Numerous top clubs around Europe are targeting him, and the fee could rise quite high.
