Premier League outfit Aston Villa have moved forward with an opening offer for the signature of Sevilla star Loïc Badé.

That’s according to Spanish outlet El Chiringuito TV, who have on Monday provided a fresh insight into the situation.

Badé is for his part in the midst of another fine campaign to date, which has seen the Frenchman, despite Sevilla’s hit-and-miss form, continue to stand out as one of the finest defenders in Spanish football.

Such endeavours have not gone at all unnoticed across the continent, with a number of leading clubs understood to hold a keen interest in Badé’s services.

It is the aforementioned Aston Villa, though, who have for some time stood at the front of the queue for the defender.

So much so that, as per El Chiringuito TV, the Claret and Blue recently sent a formal offer worth €21 million, plus another €4 million in add-ons, the way of Sevilla.

The bid in question was rejected, though, with the brass at The Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán having made clear that Badé’s price-tag stands at €30 million.
