Aston Villa have started talks with Spanish club Real Betis for winger Jesus Rodriguez, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Villa are working on adding fresh talent to strengthen their squad ahead of next season.
They are also close to completing the signing of Feyenoord forward Zepiqueno Redmond, another promising young player.
Villa seem to be focusing on youth this summer, and Rodriguez is the latest name linked to the Birmingham-based club.
Rodriguez has become one of the most talked-about young players in Spanish football this season.
He played 44 matches in all competitions for Betis, bagging five goals and four assists.
Rodriguez is known for his explosive pace, close control, and quick feet when going past defenders.
He also works hard off the ball, often helping his team by recovering possession and winning duels.
Rodriguez plays mainly on the wing and is dangerous when running in behind defensive lines with speed.
While his dribbling is excellent, there is still room for improvement in his final passes and finishing.
The 19-year-old has demonstrated maturity, and many top clubs have closely monitored his development.
His mix of skill, work rate, and attacking intent makes him a strong fit for manager Unai Emery’s fast and aggressive system.
He could be the next big arrival at Villa Park as the club builds towards a strong European push.
