Aston Villa interested in move for Borussia Dortmund and Netherlands winger Donyell Malen | OneFootball

According to BILD and Voetbal International, Aston Villa have expressed their interest in Borussia Dortmund winger Donyell Malen. The 25-year-old has been at the Signal Iduna Park for three and a half years since his move from PSV in 2021.

However, this season, while playing in thirteen league matches, he has arrived from the bench (seven times) on more occasions than he has started (six times), and Unai Emery’s side could offer him a new opportunity back in the country he spent time in with Arsenal’s academy.

German reports suggest that Villa are monitoring a potential move, with Dortmund ‘certainly’ ready to accept a bid between 25 and 30 million euros.

Malen has found international experience with the Oranje since his senior international debut in 2019 and has since amassed 41 caps. His contract at the Westfalenstadion runs for another year and a half.
