ASC Jaraaf
ASC Jaraaf secured their 13th Senegalese Ligue 1 championship on June 29 in Dakar, overpowering ASC HLM 4-1 at Djiguily Bakayoko Stadium and finishing three points clear of US Gorée with a total of 54 points.
The Medina side entered this final matchday under immense pressure, level on points with US Gorée. Malick Daf's men left no room for doubt. Mbaye Ndiaye broke the deadlock in the 21st minute, followed by Ababacar Sarr in the 29th. HLM managed to pull one back shortly after, but Jaraaf responded swiftly through Souleymane Cissé (68') and Abdoulaye Oualy (75'), sealing a dominant 4-1 victory.
Gorée's defeat to Guédiawaye (2-0) handed the title to the Medina club, already 12-time champions, including two since the league turned professional in 2010 and 2018. With this latest triumph in the 2024-2025 season, ASC Jaraaf cements its status as the most decorated club in the country with 13 crowns.
"It's a well-deserved victory to become champions. We're staying focused. We've won the league, but now the most important thing is the Cup. I want us to achieve the double," said Jaraaf coach Malick Daf, already looking ahead to new challenges.
