Arsenal striker Kai Havertz will miss the remainder of the season after suffering a hamstring tear during his side's winter training camp, according to the Athletic.

The German has been a regular for Mikel Arteta's side so far this season, but suffered the issue while in Dubai as his side took advantage of their FA Cup exit to undergo some warm weather training.

Now, David Ornstein has claimed that he will be absent for the rest of the season, though it remains unclear whether he will require surgery.

He joins Gabriel Martinelli on the sidelines after the Brazilian picked up an issue against Newcastle United, while Bukayo Saka remains absent through a hamstring tear of his own.

Gabriel Jesus will also miss the rest of the season, having sustained an anterior cruciate ligament injury.
