The Gunners appear to have regained their mojo following a four-game winless run across all competitions, in the past week alone they’ve scored five goals against Sporting CP and West Ham in successive away fixtures after also brushing aside Nottingham Forest.

Having said that, Mikel Arteta’s side can ill afford another slip-up in their quest to be crowned champions as they go into this midweek round of fixtures nine points behind league leaders Liverpool.

United head to the capital on the back of a 4-0 thrashing of Everton on Sunday afternoon, a scoreline - their biggest in the Premier League this season - that new head coach Ruben Amorim suggested slightly flattered his side.

Unbeaten in three under the Portuguese tactician and into the top half of the table, the Red Devils’ recent resurgence is sure be examined at the Emirates in a clash that has provided many classics over the years.

Arsenal vs Manchester United is scheduled for an 8:15pm GMT kick-off on Wednesday December 4, 2024.

The match will take place at the Emirates Stadium in north London.

Arsenal vs Manchester United team news

Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu are certain to miss out for Arsenal, while Thomas Partey, Mikel Merino and Myles Lewis-Skelly are all doubtful after missing the win over West Ham.

Gabriel is to be assessed after being withdrawn at half-time at the London Stadium but Riccardo Calafiori and Bukayo Saka are both fine following their substitutions in the second half.

United will be without suspended pair Kobbie Mainoo and Lisandro Martinez after they both picked up their fifth yellow card of the season against Everton. The game is likely to come too soon for summer signing Leny Yoro to make his competitive debut, while Victor Lindelof and Jonny Evans are doubtful.

Arsenal vs Manchester United prediction

United are enjoying life under Amorim so far and though the Portuguese has stated that his side still have a long way to go, the early signs are good with Marcus Rashford, Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund all rediscovering their goalscoring boots.

However, the Gunners have returned to form themselves, Saka and Martin Odegaard in particular, are playing well and home advantage should be enough to keep them in touch with Liverpool.

Arsenal to win, 2-1.
