Juventus and Milan are gearing up for a summer battle for Joshua Zirkzee but now face a new threat in the form of Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.

The 22-year-old Dutch forward has continued to shine for Thiago Motta’s Bologna this term, playing a leading role in their charge to the Champions League, and now looks destined for a high-profile move away in the summer, ready to take the next step in his career.

Zirkzee has already attracted the attention of the top three in Serie A, with Inter, Milan and Juventus all keen to fight for his signature. Bayern Munich hold a €40m buy-back clause but reports have suggested that it’s unlikely to be activated.

Page six of today’s Gazzetta dello Sport details how Arsenal are on the hunt for a new striker in the summer and have set their sights on Zirkzee, seriously interested in competing with Milan and Juventus for the 22-year-old.

Inter have seemingly started to move away to focus on other targets, whilst the Rossoneri are planning to offer up to €45-50m for the striker. The Old Lady could also look to take advantage of Thiago Motta’s possible move to Turin to try and convince the Dutch forward of a move.
