Arsenal and Chelsea have reached an agreement over the transfer of Noni Madueke for a fee of £52m.

Madueke is set to become Arsenal’s fourth signing of the summer transfer window, and second from Chelsea after the £5m capture of Kepa Arrizabalaga earlier in the window.

Arsenal have targeted Madueke as Mikel Arteta looks to improve his attacking options, with the 23-year-old set to provide competition and cover on both flanks.

Chelsea are willing to allow Madueke to leave after strengthening their options with the signing of Jamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund. Estevao Willian will also link up with the Blues this season from Palmeiras.

Fabrizio Romano has confirmed all parties have reached an agreement on the transfer of Madueke with the England international set to sign a five-year deal. All documents are due to be exchanged on Friday with Madueke set to undergo a medical at the Emirates.

The winger signed for Chelsea from PSV Eindhoven in a £27.5m deal in January 2023, having spent time in the academies at Crystal Palace and Tottenham Hotspur before his move to the Netherlands.

arLast season, he scored 11 goals and provided four assists in all competitions for Chelsea and made his England debut in September.

He has since won seven caps for the Three Lions and caught the eye during June’s internationals.

Madueke’s arrival could see Leandro Trossard depart the Emirates. The Belgium international has been linked with Fenerbahce.
