Arsenal are said to be progressing with a deal to sign Bayer Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapie.

The Gunners are in talks over a move for the Ecuadorian, with Fabrizio Romano reporting that the 23-year-old has agreed to a move to north London.

Negotiations remain ongoing between the clubs, and a loan with an obligation to buy deal is said to be a possibility.

Hincapie’s arrival could see fellow central defender Jakub Kiwior depart the Gunners, however.

Various reports suggest Porto are trying to wrap up a deal for the Poland international before the transfer deadline. Sky Sports claim a deal is close for Kiwior to join the Portuguese side on loan with an obligation to buy him, once his loan finishes.

Oleksandr Zinchenko is another who could depart Arsenal before the window shuts, along with Reiss Nelson, Fabio Vieira and Albert Sambi Lokonga.

Meanwhile, the Sun say Crystal Palace have made a £15m bid for Manchester City defender Manuel Akanji.

They say he could be a possible replacement for Marc Guehi, who is attracting the interest of Liverpool and has just a year remaining on his deal.

Elsewhere, Bild Sport say Nicolas Jackson is willing to leave Chelsea for Bayern Munich this summer with the two clubs negotiating a deal.

Sky Sports say Bayern are one of at least five clubs keen on Jackson, and add that Chelsea would only consider a loan move if it includes an obligation to buy him.

The Blues also remain keen on signing Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig before the deadline, with a potential swap deal including Christopher Nkunku being touted.

Chelsea could also move for Barcelona midfielder Fermin Lopez, the Athletic say, though are yet to make contact with the club over a deal.

Carney Chukwuemeka has left the Blues, however, having joined Borussia Dortmund for a fee of around £24m.

Aaron Anselmino is also poised to join the German side on loan from Chelsea.

West Ham are keen on Nottingham Forest’s Ibrahim Sangare and have also agreed on a fee for Monaco midfielder Soungoutou Magassa, Sky Sports say, though add that there is still work to do on the deal.

And they also add that Brentford are considering a move for Borussia Dortmund forward Max Beier, which could then allow Yoane Wissa to join Newcastle.
