Sunday's FA Cup tie with Manchester United presents Mikel Arteta with an opportunity to shuffle his pack, but Tuesday night's defeat to Newcastle means victory is important ahead of the North London Derby.
Arsenal's squad has been hindered by illness and injury in recent weeks, although Arteta went as strong as he could for the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final against Newcastle. The xG figures pointed towards domination of the Magpies, but their below-par performance in both boxes meant their 2-0 defeat was warranted.
Arteta will be keen to raise spirits ahead of next Wednesday's derby, with the atmosphere inside the Emirates starting to suffer as a result of Arsenal's on-pitch monotony.
Arsenal are without four players this weekend, and here's the team the Gunners boss could pick for United's visit in the FA Cup third round.

GK: Neto - Cup-tied in the Carabao Cup and in David Raya's shadow for Premier League outings, Neto is yet to be seen in Arsenal colours. That could change on Sunday.
RB: Jurrien Timber - Timber was on the scoresheet in the December clash with United, and he'll be aiming to mitigate the threat provided by Diogo Dalot after Trent Alexander-Arnold made him look like a superstar last weekend.
CB: William Saliba - There's little room for Saliba respite, who's been used relentlessly by Arteta this term.
CB: Jakub Kiwior - If Kiwior does come into the team, Arteta will make sure he has Saliba holding his hand. The Pole struggles otherwise.
LB: Riccardo Calafiori - The Italian's minutes are being managed by Arteta and he wasn't involved at all on Tuesday night against Newcastle. Calafiori should get the nod here, but it'll be interesting to see who plays at left-back for the derby.
CM: Jorginho - The experienced midfielder has entered the final few months of his Arsenal career and starts will come few and far between before the summer. Jorginho has looked off the pace in recent outings, but preferred #6 options could be preserved for next Wednesday.
CM: Mikel Merino - Another summer arrival who didn't enter the fray in midweek, Merino started last weekend against Brighton and is a strong contender to come in for Declan Rice.
CM: Martin Odegaard - Odegaard has been off the pace since Bukayo Saka succumbed to injury and there's no doubt that Arsenal require more from their creative talisman.
RW: Raheem Sterling - Sterling was back on the bench in midweek having recovered from a knee injury and this is a good opportunity for Arteta to experiment with another Saka alternative.
ST: Gabriel Jesus - Kai Havertz somehow got through 90 minutes last weekend having missed the Brentford and Brighton games through illness, but doesn't need to start here with Jesus available.
LW: Gabriel Martinelli - Arsenal's options wide left have struggled this term, and supporters would suggest Arteta is merely picking the lesser of two evils by opting for Martinelli over Leandro Trossard.
