In a recent report, Tutto Atalanta stated that Arsenal are planning to make a €50m offer for Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund. It has been claimed that the Gunners are hoping to get a deal done for the Danish talent in the summer.

Hojlund’s Decent Run Of Form For Atalanta This Season

Hojlund is having an impressive season at the Italian club as he has managed to put in a series of productive performances as the spearhead of their attack. The Danish sensation has found the back of the net 14 times and earned five assists in 33 matches for his current club during this campaign across various competitions.

The 20-year-old deserves a lot of credit for averaging 1.5 shots, 0.9 key passes and 0.7 dribbles per 90 minutes in Serie A. However, he needs to take care of possession a bit better in the final third after completing just 74.8% of his attempted passes in the Italian first division (stats via whoscored).

Hojlund is under contract at Atalanta until the summer of 2027. Thus, it is no surprise that Arsenal would have to pay €50m to acquire his services.

Is Hojlund A Good Choice For Arsenal Head Coach Mikel Arteta?

Hojlund can create space for himself to get a few strikes in on-target. He has also got the vision to make some inviting chances for his teammates in the final third. However, as mentioned earlier, the Danish forward needs to take care of the ball a bit better in the opponent’s half if he wants to taste success at the highest level.

Standing at 1.91m, Hojlund is a towering presence up top and would no doubt give Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta more variety on the offensive front. He is good enough to rival Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah for a regular starting spot at the Emirates Stadium.

At 20, Hojlund has got the potential to become a future star in European football. Thus, he would be a great, long-term choice for the Gunners to pursue this summer. However, only time will tell whether he can adapt to the physical nature and high intensity of regular Premier League football if Arsenal can devise a way to get him on board when the transfer window reopens later this year.
