Sport Bild reports that Arsenal have joined the race to sign Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitiké. The Gunners join three other Premier League clubs in the quest to secure the 23-year-old’s services. The German tabloid notes that the Bundesliga club remains firm in its transfer fee demand of €100m.
Arsenal’s interest comes amid news that their pursuit of RB Leipzig forward Benjamin Sesko has stalled. The north London club apparently also finds itself making little progress in the case of Viktor Gyökeres of Sporting CP.
Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester United certainly won’t make it easy for the latest EPL entrant to join the game. Ekitiké currently maintains an estimated €75m market value after a fine season for the SGE.
In the span of the last twelve months, Ekitiké has nearly quadrupled his value after scoring 22 goals and contributing 12 assists in 48 competitive appearances for Frankfurt last season.
