Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United have reportedly been handed a boost in their hopes of signing Spain midfielder Dani Olmo after Barcelona’s appeal to register him was rejected.
Mundo Deportivo report that the Spanish giants have been unable to register the 26-year-old, who has scored five goals in 11 league games this season, because they are in breach of La Liga’s salary limit.
It means Barcelona could lose him in January, with Manchester City and Manchester United also said to be interested in him.
But Barca still hold out hope of keeping him, and are hoping that the sale of VIP seats at Camp Nou will be enough to be able to register him.
Meanwhile, TalkSport say Chelsea are monitoring both Liam Delap and Evan Ferguson as potential striker options in the January transfer window.
Delap scored and set one up in Ipswich’s win over Chelsea on Monday and has impressed for the Tractor Boys. Ferguson has struggled for starts for Brighton this season, scoring just one goal in 12 games.
The Daily Mail are reporting that both Newcastle and Tottenham are “monitoring” Manchester City winger Jack Grealish.
They also say Bayer Leverkusen are leading the chase for Man City youngster James McAtee.
Mundo Deportivo report that Manchester United are looking into a possible move for Barcelona and former Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen.
And the Sun claim Newcastle United are lining up a £20m move for Burnley goalkeeper James Trafford.
