Arsenal finalising blockbuster summer signing – latest transfer reports

Martin Zubimendi is in London to meet Arsenal officials and complete his transfer from Real Sociedad, according to reports.
The Gunners have beaten Real Madrid to the signing of the Spain international, who is set to move to the Emirates Stadium after having his £51.7 million release clause activated.
According to David Ornstein, the 26-year-old and his representatives are in London to finalise the final details before his move to north London.
Arsenal are also looking at Chelsea winger Noni Madueke after missing out on Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams.
The Telegraph report the Gunners have ‘made checks’ on the England international, but are yet to open talks with their London rivals. Chelsea do not feel Madueke is untouchable, the report says, with Tottenham and Newcastle also interested.
Elsewhere, the Mail say Liverpool are interested in signing Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace as they step up their search for a defender, with Jarell Quansah closing in on a move to Bayer Leverkusen.
This comes after the BBC reported that the Eagles have held talks with Sporting Lisbon for their 21-year-old defender Ousmane Diomande.
Liverpool also look poised to complete the long awaited transfer of Bournemouth full-back Milos Kerkez.
The Athletic say the Reds have reached an agreement with the Cherries to sign the Hungarian defender for £40m, and that he will undergo a medical next week.
ESPN also say Florian Wirtz is set to complete his move to Liverpool today (Friday) for an initial £100m, along with £16m in possible add-ons.
Sky Sports report that Brighton have received a £25.6 million offer from Serie A champions Napoli for midfielder Matt O’Reily.
The 24-year-old Danish international had interest from fellow Premier League side Everton, and has spoken recently about being “not completely happy” after an injury-hit season for the Seagulls.
Foot Mercato say Tottenham and Everton are among the clubs interested in Juventus forward Timothy Weah.
And the i say Manchester United will have to significantly increase their £45m and £10m in add-ons offer if they are to sign Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo.
