Arsenal are eyeing moves for Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak and Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise as part of a huge summer spending spree, a report has claimed.

The Gunners have taken another step forwards in their quest for major silverware this season. But, having been eliminated from the Champions League at the quarter-final stage and fallen marginally behind in the Premier League title race, they are expected to try and improve once again.

Over £200m was spent last summer and The Guardian state sporting director Edu is expected to be handed a similar budget this time around as the club's owners, Kroenke Sports & Entertainment, recognise the need for more investment to get Arsenal over the line.

A striker and a winger are expected to be recruited, with both Isak and Olise playing their way on to Arsenal's radar.

Isak, who has 17 goals in 24 Premier League games this season, was scouted by Arsenal before his £63m move to Newcastle in 2022 and is valued at a huge £100m.

Should the 24-year-old prove too expensive, Arsenal could turn to either Sporting CP's Viktor Gyokeres or Juventus' Dusan Vlahovic, but interest in Brentford's Ivan Toney is believed to have cooled.

Out wide, Palace star Olise has attracted interest from many suitors, with Arsenal now joining Manchester United in pursuit of the Frenchman.

Olise signed a new contract with Palace last summer, rejecting Chelsea's advances, and that new deal is believed to include a £65m release clause which will become active at the end of the season.
