Arsenal have confirmed their fourth professional contract signing of the week, with Daniel Oyetunde putting pen to paper after Will Sweet, Louie Copley, and Cam’ron Ismail over the past few days.

All four players were out of contract this summer after coming to the end of their scholarship contracts, but the Premier League confirmed that the Gunners had made offers to all four and Dan Casey.

Four of the five have now committed, though the situation is less optimistic in Casey’s case.

Oyetunde, Sweet, Copley, and Ismail all returned to pre-season training and took part in the academy photocall, so their new deal announcements were effectively a formality. But Casey is yet to return to Arsenal since his own scholarship deal expired.

“I joined as an under-15, so this is my fifth year at the club. I’ve enjoyed every step, learnt a lot while I’ve been here,” Oyetunde said.

“For me, I think (this season’s goal is) establishing myself in the under-21’s team and when given the opportunity to play any higher, taking it or train any higher, taking that opportunity.

“Also trying to stay fit and just taking every day an opportunity as it comes.”

Staying fit will certainly be important, as Oyetunde will want more consistent game time on the pitch this season.

The striker only played 394 minutes for the Arsenal u18s in 2024/25, but he did well when he was available, racking up four goal contributions for an average of one every 98.5 minutes.

If he can keep that same ratio when he’s playing more regularly, he’ll be a strong addition to the u21s.
