Paris Saint-Germain are eager to sign SL Benfica’s midfielder João Neves, who has caught the attention of several top European clubs. Moreover, it appears as though the player wants to move to the French capital, too.

Benfica are well aware of the considerable interest in this young talent, and they’re firm on not letting him go for a low price. They’ve set his value at over €100 million and aren’t showing any signs of budging.

Recently, Benfica’s sporting director, Rui Costa, made it clear that they won’t entertain any offers below €100 million (£85 million). Despite the high price, sporting advisor Luis Campos and manager Luis Enrique remain interested.

According to Sports Zone, Neves wants to join PSG this summer, as Luís Campos and Luis Enrique have convinced him. His agent, Jorge Mendes, supports the move but insists the club sells some midfielders first. However, PSG refuses to pay his release clause.

PSG aren’t the only team interested in the teenager, as Arsenal and Manchester United are also in the mix. However, journalist Ben Jacobs has reported that neither of the Premier League clubs is looking to trigger the €120 million release clause or come close to paying that amount.
