HOUSTON – The 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup continued with Curaçao earning a 1-1 draw with Canada in Group B on Saturday at Shell Energy Stadium in Houston, Texas, USA.

Nathan Saliba put Canada ahead in the 9’, scoring with a right-footed hit from the center of the box.

Leandro Bacuna had a look for the Caribbean nation in the 18’ with a header inside the box, but his attempt was saved by Canada goalkeeper Dayne St. Clair.

The Reds came close to extending its lead in the 35’ through a right-footed attempt from Tani Oluwaseyi that was met by a save from Curaçao goalkeeper Eloy Room.

Jürgen Locadia nearly had an equalizer for Curaçao in the 43’ with a left-footed attempt that was wide of the second post.

Curaçao found a late equalizer in the 90’+4’ off a through ball from Joshua Zimmerman that found Jeremy Antonisse behind the opposition’s backline, before the latter struck with a finish to the far post.

Cyle Larin had a late chance for Canada in the 90’+8’, but Room pulled off a key save to split the points.

Canada will meet El Salvador in Houston, Texas while Curaçao will clash against Honduras in San Jose, California in a decisive final matchday in Group B on Tuesday.
