There has been yet another source suggesting that Manchester United could be about to move for a Chelsea player this window.
We’ve been hearing whispers around Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson and his Blues future being under threat this week.
Manchester United are one of the clubs that have been linked with him after Chelsea signed Liam Delap and Joao Pedro for the forward positions. There is now big question marks over the future of Jackson. Other clubs are also being linked with him.
Pedro scored Chelsea’s third goal to help them thrash PSG in the final of the Club World Cup on Sunday, showing that he is going to be one of the main guys up top for Chelsea now going forward.
Liam Delap has had a decent start in Chelsea blue as well, making his mark and showing that he is also here to compete and challenge for that main starting 9 role at Chelsea.
Chelsea wanted Delap back in January and at that point they were being told that he would be good competition for Jackson. But it may now turn out that instead of competition, Delap and Pedro could push Jackson out of the club.

So, back to Manchester United’s interest in Jackson, and it’s certainly very clear that they do have some interest, with The Times now being the latest to report it.
The publication reports that United are monitoring the situation of Nicolas Jackson as he weighs up his future after Chelsea’s summer spending spree, which included the acquisition of strikers Liam Delap and João Pedro.
It will be interesting to see if Chelsea are willing to sell to a rival or not, with other Premier League clubs clearly interested in Jackson as well as United.
