It now seems that it is a matter of time before Manchester City completes the signing of AC Milan midfielder Tijjani Reijnders. Fabrizio Romano reported yesterday that a deal to bring Reijnders to the Etihad is on the verge of completion. Now, Romano has provided a positive update on Manchester City’s move for Rayan Ait-Nouri. It would seem that Manchester City’s move to sign a quality left-back is only days away from being complete.
Fabrizio Romano has reported that Manchester City are now advancing with their move to sign Rayan Ait-Nouri. Furthermore, Romano reports that City has held initial talks with Wolverhampton Wanderers over a deal to sign Ait-Nouri. Romano further reports that the next steps in the deal will come in the upcoming days. Lastly, Fabrizio Romano adds that Rayan Ait-Nouri has given the green light to a move to Manchester City.
If Manchester City can swiftly complete a deal for Rayan Ait-Nouri, they’ll fill the troublesome left-back position. It has long been a position that Pep Guardiola’s squad has lacked a specialist in. Rayan Ait-Nouri is exactly that. He is also Premier League proven after spending three seasons at Wolverhampton Wanderers. Ait-Nouri appears ready for the next step in his career. That step is seemingly coming with a move to Etihad appearing to be edging closer.
But if City can quickly wrap up a deal for Rayan Ait-Nouri, they’ll be edging closer to their goal of bringing in players ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup. Time is of the essence for Manchester City if they are to complete City chairman Khaldoon Al-Mubarak’s summer goal. All indications are that deals to bring Tijjani Reijnders and Rayan Ait-Nouri are now close.
Today’s report from Fabrizio Romano gives the impression that it is only a matter of time before Rayan Ait-Nouri becomes a Manchester City player. Barring any late complications in negotiations between City and Wolves, the Algerian international should be a part of Manchester City’s squad for the FIFA Club World Cup. That would be huge for City and on top of that they’ll finally have a specialist left-back for Pep Guardiola to deploy.
