Since joining Angel City in 2022, Emslie has become a crucial cog in the team's tactical and identity makeup. The numbers are for themselves to say: 64 matches, 15 goals, and 7 assists. As Technical Director Mark Wilson put it best: Emslie is not just a high-quality player, but she also embodies the spirit of the club.
One of the most attractive factors of Claire Emslie is her connection with the fans. Ever since her arrival, she has become an emblem of this team, hypnotizing every supporter at BMO Stadium with how much she gives on the pitch. Even the player herself admitted, "Playing in front of Angel City fans is different from anything else.
Since day one, I have believed in the vision and potential of this club, and will give everything to make it happen. I love playing for Angel City in front of the best fans and the best atmosphere at BMO Stadium."
Brilliance and moments of resilience are woven throughout Claire Emslie's career. Before arriving at Angel City, she played for clubs like Everton, Orlando Pride, and Melbourne City. At each stop, she left a mark in the form of goals and assists-the impact brought to each of her squads.
In Australia's W-League, she had been an important influence in Melbourne City's unbeaten season with a contribution of four goals in 10 games. During her stint with the FA Women's Super League, she played 18 games for Everton, scoring two goals in the 2021/22 season.
These experiences shaped the player who is now Angel City's all-time leading scorer. Her versatility, vision, and leadership speak to a career built on hard work and talent.
