Tottenham Hotspur are set to take on Burnley in the FA Cup this weekend.
Ange Postecoglou‘s Tottenham will be looking to start 2024 with a win, but more importantly, start off their journey towards potential silverware in style.
This may be Tottenham’s only chance at a trophy this season, with Spurs already out of the FA Cup and not competing in Europe this season. The Premier League is also a possibility, but the FA Cup seems more realistic.
With this, Postecoglou will want to field a side he thinks can get the job done, whilst also giving some players a much-needed rest. Here is our predicted XI for the Burnley game.

Here is how we think Postecoglou will line up his Tottenham Hotspur side for the Burnley clash:
With so many injuries – the team does somewhat pick itself, however, there are a few decisions the Aussie manager has in front of him.
With it being the cup, Postecoglou may hand a first start of the season to Fraser Forster, to give Guglielmo Vicario a break between the sticks. Postecoglou does trust the English veteran, once dubbing him as ‘unbelievable‘.
The back four is self-explanatory. The mass amount of injuries means this is the only option.
Our holding midfielders have to be Oliver Skipp and Rodrigo Bentancur. The latter may be dually needed to provide some brawn against a physical Burnley midfield.
Then we have Giovani Lo Celso through the middle, with Brennan Johnson and Dejan Kulusevski on either side – with Richarlison up top. Son Heung-Min is at the Asian Cup.
Tottenham will be hungry for this. They’ll be desperate to win silverware, particularly under Postecoglou – and this is by far and away the best shot they have.
They should blow Burnley away.
