It was written in the stars after the talk in the media this week, as Manchester United keeper André Onana was at fault for the opening goal in the Europa League quarter-final first-leg showdown with Lyon this evening.
It was earlier this week when former Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matić was in the headlines for calling Onana one of the club's 'worst goalkeepers ever'.
And while many condemned his criticism, he may feel a tinge of vindication this evening watching on as the United shot-stopper somehow allowed a free-kick to drift into the bottom corner of his goal untouched.
Those set-pieces are always difficult for goalkeepers to deal with, but the Premier League side will be mightily disappointed to go behind in this manner.
Not the best time to make a headline-worthy mistake!
