It was never in doubt but it made official yesterday that Carlo Ancelotti, yet again, won the FIFA Best Men’s Coach award this year for his stunning season with Real Madrid last term.
Under his guidance, Los Blancos took home La Liga by a sizeable margin and also won the UEFA Champions League and the double accomplishment was sufficient to separate him from the competition.
It was a special night for Real Madrid in Doha as Vinicius Jr also picked up the Best Men’s Player award, making it a double haul for the Merengues.
After winning the best coach title, Ancelotti fittingly dedicated the award to the entire dressing room, his coaching staff and other backstage workers as revealed on the club’s official channel earlier today.
“I want to share this award with you because when a coach is given an individual award, it is clear that it is because of the success that the team has achieved,” he began, pouring out his appreciation.
The manager then thanked all his players for the tireless effort they put out on the field week in and week out which helped him earn the award.
“That is quite clear, so thank you very much to all of you for the effort, for the quality that you have and above all for the way you deal with people because in the end, you are not only successful because of the work that you can be successful in.”
“The work, after so many years, I think is what brings the greatest success,” he added.
The manager then concluded his speech of gratitude with special words for the team’s professionalism and what made them special.
“Fortunately, you are all intelligent people and that is why we have a very good professional relationship. That is the secret of success. Thank you very much.”
